Peaking Inside BMO’s Corporate Art Collection

  • Blog

We had the great privilege this past friday of visiting the BMO private art collection.

Dawn Cain, the collection’s curator gave us a wonderful, in-depth tour of the collection as well as a piece currently featured in their project room, The Casualties of Modernity by Kent Monkman, which was commissioned by BMO.

A huge thank you to Nada Ristich as well for the incredibly informative discussion of BMO’s corporate giving and Canadian corporate arts sponsorship.

As the collection is located on the 68th floor of First Canada Place, we also got a great view of Toronto! Photographs of the collection were prohibited, but here’s a quick tease of the Kent Monkman installation and a trailer for the accompanying video.

Be sure to also check out the website created for the project!
