Yesterday we had a unique opportunity to attend the music show featuring A Tribe Called Red, Canadian electronic music group.
I must admit, these guys absolutely changed our vision of dance music! A mix of hip hop, reggae and dubstep blended into First Nations music with elements of vocal chanting perfectly resonated within the walls of Goldring Centre of the University of Toronto.
Presented by 6 Degrees, the show featured dance performance in the spirit of First Nations and a video of a dancing tribe in the background. Feelings overload!
And did I mention that this was a free event?
Featuring: A Tribe Called Red (headlining act); Cris Derksen, cellist (opening act); Jamaias DaCosta, writer and Spoken Word artist (opening act); Joseph Boyden, award-winning author (MC).
