On Wednesday November 3rd, the class was able to hear from Deborah Knight from DKPR Inc., Edward Nixon from EN Consulting Group, and Talib Contractor of Pop Joy Cards for our entrepreneur panel. Entrepreneurship is so important in the arts, so it was great to hear about our panelists’ careers, and what it takes to be an arts entrepreneur.
The panelists were able to give us advice on how to start a business and really went into depth about the importance of finances, partnerships, and knowing when you need to expand your operation. This panel really gave us a good look into the advantages of entrepreneurship and how it may work for us as emerging arts managers.
