Avalon Acaso

Avalon Acaso (She/Her)

Avalon is a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Performance Production and MA in Fashion Studies, focusing on ballet costuming and theatre archives. A strong advocate for accessible theatre, her passion and career goals include working to make ballet and opera more inclusive and accessible for underserved communities.

Avalon loves to be a part of her community, and has been recognized for her volunteer work for several arts / cultural organizations including, The Bata Shoe Museum, The Textile Museum of Canada, The National Ballet of Canada, and Opera Atelier.

In her spare time, she is an avid traveler and loves to experience theatre around the globe!

David Figueroa

David Figueroa (He/Him)

Growing up in the Georgian bay area, David Figueroa’s passion for the arts stems from his work as a visual artist. Working as an interdisciplinary artist, his artwork takes form in installation, ceramics, and printmaking, with a primary focus on painting and drawing. He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from Georgian College, and Studies in Arts and Cultural Management Certificate from Brock University. In recent years, Figueroa has begun to diversify his artistic practice by organizing and delivering art projects with a major community engagement component. These community-based projects have taken form in Culture Days workshops, curated gallery exhibitions, and a Mural Mentorship Project.

Simranjit Kaur

Simranjit Kaur (She/Her)

Simranjit holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts Theatre degree from Lovely Professional University in India, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Event Management from St. Clair University in Windsor, Ontario.

She is currently studying Arts Management at Centennial College to work in the arts business in Canada and her home country India. Previously, she worked in theatre as an actress, director, and set designer, as well as doing community theatre for oppressed people. In India, she was Co-Director of a community theatre organization, where she experimented with untrained actors.

She wishes to collaborate with non-profit theatrical organizations for theatre learning workshops with young artists. Poetry and reading novels are a major part of her life.
